Exercise is a hypertrophy action, with continuous repetitions it can improve muscular toning and strength, building with some cardio-vascular conditioning, general fitness and good body shaping. Technically right and correctly done exercise will benefit you undoubtedly. Exercise is essential for the development of self-confidence, physical strength and to achieve the desired goals in life related to sport. Exercise also has side effects such as tight and sore muscles, RSI (repetitive strain injuries), stress, tiredness and fatigue are common complaints from the practitioners. I have clients who had stressed and painful backs, necks, shoulders and legs from the exercises they were undertaking. In one case a 20 year old body builder had a heart attack, although I do not believe that all blame goes to the weight-training. In comparison to other exercises, Yoga is unparalleled for the development of the mind and body.
